Mandala is the Sanskrit for circle or center. The art of the MANDALA is a world of patterns, symbols and sacred geometry. This ancient term can also refer to art that is created within a circle and to circle images that are found in our World, Solar System, Galaxy and Universe. The circle is repeated in the atom, DNA, and cells; snowflakes, flowers and other plant life; and in the earth, its planets and stars.

All that is needed is encompassed within the space of a circle. For this reason a sense of completion and inner calm can be experienced from creating a MANDALA and from contemplating these images.
